OUT-OF-TOWNERS LODGING INFORMATION:

If you are making lodging arrangements from afar and plan to stay overnight – it would be great to consider NOT staying at an AirBnB. There is much contention nationally around short-term rentals pricing out long-term renters, threatening the existence of tourism jobs in hotels (lifeblood for many service workers our city) and accelerating gentrification. This is particularly stark here in post-Katrina New Orleans.

As such, we encourage y’all to consider staying at the following places which would be good alternatives to AirBnB:
Ace Hotel (new hotel that is community oriented and worker friendly)
Rathbone Mansions (historic B&B on a property that was the first property owned by a woman of color in the South)
Hotel Indigo (black-owned hotel)
Hubbard Mansion (black-owned B&B)
Maison Dupuy (black-owned boutique hotel)
Hilton Garden Inn (black-owned franchise hotel)
